I'm angry, why aren't you!?
I have thought long and hard about how I've wanted to post about the recent events, and black lives matter. I’ve been posting and sharing things that I feel are important and I want to use the privileged, that I was so conveniently born with. (because of the colour of my skin!!!!) to help those who are not as fortunate like people of colour. It hurts me to see videos, news articles, and racists all over social media. I am no angel, there has most likely, if not definitely, been moments where I haven’t used my voice to correct a racist, but oh how i am sure that i will NEVER slip up happen again. I know a lot of people are hurt as they think that the black lives matter movement is saying that lives don’t matter, and I’m sorry, but this isn’t about you. This is about those who are being put in danger simply for existing. I’m seeing a lot of posts saying that oh, well this wasn’t covered. This happened and NO-ONE cared. Etc!
